Mediterranean Island Hopping: Gozo Carnival February 9
February 9 Saturday: Gozo Carnival
Carnivals are held in Catholic countries before Lent. Rio in Brazil and Venice are famous for their carnivals. I am not a fan of carnivals but want to see what is going on. When I learnt about the one in Victoria, I purchased a ticket for €5.
The carnival started at 10am and finished around 12:45pm. There were half a dozen dance performances by school children and dance companies. The scale is modest but I find the carnival atmospheric. The weather was perfect (without rain) and I had a wonderful time watching the children and girls in all sorts of fancy and sexy costume. They all seemed to enjoy it. I took lots of pictures and had a good time too!

This looks great. I must remember the period and maybe one day in future, attend this carnival. Thnaks for the photos.
